  43.             SECTION 1.  GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION.

  46.     Do you ever get aching muscles and stiff joints from sitting in front 
  47.     of your computer too long. STRETCH BREAK reminds you to stretch and 
  48.     shows you how.  
  49.     
  50.     Every 30 minutes (programmable) a Windows screen opens and animated 
  51.     figures are shown doing stretches for you to follow.  We have made 
  52.     STRETCH BREAK simple to install and very easy to use. You can control 
  53.     the time between stretch sessions, and the number of stretches per 
  54.     session. You can start the stretches at any time, or delay stretches 
  55.     for one or five minutes. 
  56.       
  57.     This program requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 and a mouse. It uses 2MB 
  58.     of hard drive space. A monitor with 256 colors is recommended but not
  59.     required. 
  60.     
  61.     Try Stretch Break for a few days. We think that you will be amazed at
  62.     how much better you feel while using your computer.

  72.             SECTION 2.  INSTALLATION
  73.     ======================================================================

  75.               FROM A DISK
  76.  
  77.     1. While in Windows, insert the disk into the proper drive (A or B). 
  78.     2. Select the File menu. 
  79.     3. Select Run. 
  80.     4. Type A:SETUP or B:SETUP 
  81.     5. Press Enter 
  82.     6. Follow the installation instructions. When you are asked if you 
  83.     want to add Stretch Break to the Startup Group, we recommend that you 
  84.     indicate "yes".  This will start Stretch Break as a minimized 
  85.     application each time you start Windows.  The stretches will not 
  86.     appear for 30 minutes (default).

  89.               FROM A ZIP FILE
  90.  
  91.     If you downloaded STRETCH BREAK from a BBS (or received it in the form 
  92.     of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the 
  93.     following steps. 
  94.  
  95.     1. Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary 
  96.     directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this varies, 
  97.     depending on the form in which you received the package. In all 
  98.     likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means that you 
  99.     already have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform this step.  
  100.     If not, you should be able to obtain directions for this from the same 
  101.     source from which you received the program. 
  102.  
  103.     2. Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For 
  104.     example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted the 
  105.     Stretch Break package is C:\TEMP, you would execute from File Manager 
  106.     the file, "C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE". 
  107.  
  108.     3. Follow the installation instructions. When you are asked if you 
  109.     want to add Stretch Break to the Startup Group, we recommend that you 
  110.     indicate "yes".  This will start Stretch Break as a minimized 
  111.     application each time you start Windows.  The stretches will not 
  112.     appear for 30 minutes (default).

  114.     4. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you 
  115.     should delete the temporary directory from which you installed Stretch 
  116.     Break  (C:\TEMP, in the above discussion), including all its contents.

  120.             SECTION 3. STARTING STRETCH BREAK  
  121.     ======================================================================

  123.     It is recommended that during installation you allow Stretch Break to 
  124.     be put in the Startup Group so that it starts each time you start 
  125.     Windows. 
  126.     
  127.     Otherwise you can start Stretch Break by double clicking on the 
  128.     Stretch Break icon.   
  129.     
  130.     If Stretch Break was not put in your Startup Group during 
  131.     installation, you can put it there at any time as follows:
  132.     
  133.     1. While pressing Ctrl, use your mouse to drag and drop the icon 
  134.     from the Stretch Break Group to the Startup Group. 
  135.     
  136.     2. Highlight this new icon by clicking on it once.  
  137.     
  138.     3. Click on File, and then Properties.
  139.     
  140.     4. Change the command line in the Program Items Property dialogue box 
  141.     to read "C:\STRETCH\STRETCH.EXE -STARTUP."  Adding the "-STARTUP" 
  142.     causes Stretch Break to start as a minimized application.  The 
  143.     stretches will appear in 30 minutes (default).

  147.             SECTION 4.  REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND BENEFITS
  148.     ======================================================================

  150.     This is a Shareware program.  If you find this program useful and find 
  151.     that you are using it after a 30 day trial period, you must make a 
  152.     registration payment to Para Technologies.  To register, PRINT the 
  153.     "register.txt" file.

  155.     When you register Stretch Break you will receive:

  157.         1. The registered version with many additional stretches 
  158.         2. Free telephone support
  159.         3. A Users Guide
  160.         4. Notice of updates

  162.     You are encouraged to pass a copy of this shareware program (in its 
  163.     original form) along to your friends for evaluation.  Please encourage 
  164.     them to register their copy if they find that they can use it.

  167.             SECTION 5.  Operating Instructions

  170.     Stretch Break is designed to be intuitive and extremely simple to use. 
  171.     If you want to access the detailed instructions they are available by 
  172.     selecting HELP from the Stretch Break main screen or selecting the 
  173.     HELP icon in the Stretch Break Group.

  177.             SECTION 6.  $100 BONUS FOR SHARING WITH YOUR COMPANY
  178.     ======================================================================

  180.     Would you like to receive $100?  Simply introduce Stretch Break to 
  181.     your company.  If they order a site license for a least 50 
  182.     workstations, we will immediately send you (or your favorite charity) 
  183.     a check for $100.  Bonuses are also available for fewer than 50 
  184.     workstations.

  186.     You do not have to register your own copy of Stretch Break to receive 
  187.     this bonus, but, if you do register, then we will reduce the 
  188.     registration fee from $24.95 to $19.95.  You will be sent your 
  189.     registered copy plus an evaluation copy to give to your company.

  191.     Print OPTION1.TXT to register and qualify for the bonus.
  192.     Print OPTION2.TXT if not registering, but want to qualify for the bonus.

  226.     execution.  These are text files that may be viewed by any text editor 
  227.     or word processing program.

  230.         READ_ME.BAT  -  To view the VENDINFO.DIZ file.
  231.         FILE_ID.DIZ  -  Program summary information for BBS.

  249.     If you want to uninstall Stretch Break you should delete all the files 
  250.     in the directory where Stretch Break was installed.  Stretch Break 
  251.     also installed several DLL and VBX files in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM 
  252.     directory. Since these files may be used by other programs, it is 
  253.     recommended that you do not delete these files.
